The handle is wrapped for use immediately or to glove with pitch, the steel is thick and stiff for the scale, and the teeth are fine and deep; compared to a few others I use. You can get me started about handsaws where I live in Reno, if that is the subject. Compared to them with smaller and larger injection molded handles, the package and writing is Japanese and a cute handful of sharp teeth. Choosing one of a dozen saws to cut an aluminum block for an experiment to make with lubricated pull saws, I think I found the right saw. Very happy to handle, and waiting for gloves!
