I have owned this since 2010. I have used it a lot of times over the 12 years and it is a great saw. It cuts well, it does not overheat. It does not break the tiles. It will cut brick stone and more. I used it you restore a fireplace from 1870 cutting stone that are 4" thick and it worked great did not even dull the blade. I highly recommend anyone who needs a good tile sawI love this machine!I love this tile saw, I use it almost daily. The ordering was great and I received it quickly, but upon set up I noticed the water pan was cracked so it wouldn’t hold water. Because I usually put my pump in a clean bucket of water anyways and keep the pan drain open to another bucket, i was able to use it still. Didn’t have the time to return it as I was on a job site and need it that day.Otherwise, this is a great saw and would recommend it to any tile pro. Little bit much for a DIYer unless you have a larger scale/detailed project to do. But I keep a smaller more portable wet saw that I use for smaller projects like back splashes. The water flow is insane and has a surprisingly minimal amount of overspray depending on where you set the nozzles. Being able to adjust literally everything from squaring up the blade to the track is amazing. And I love being able to use multiple blade sizes.Instructions are minimal and assembly takes time because of it. Take everything out to find all parts and tools.Tray does not attach to stand. Unless you want to break your back moving this around you will need to install locking casters on the stand. It would be nice if the tray locked into the stand for piece of mind, although the weight holds it down.Best to use 2 buckets {clean and dirty water} vs recirculating dirty water thru the pump. Translucent buckets help you know your water level. When outside I could leave a hose running slowly in clean water bucket.Saw isn't too loud and cuts nicely. Care must be taken to keep track clean.Miter tool doesn't seem highly accurate, I don't trust it.Drain hole could be slightly lower in pan to get out all water easily when washing. I cut a shallow grove in plastic to help.It does exactly (and very well) what it was designed to do. Directions for assembly aren't so good. Pictures of some things in the instructions don't match what you actually get, so visual assembly is slower. It's not that difficult to assemble, but the instructions slow you down. Once you get everything together, it all makes sense and it's easy to move and assemble/disassemble.The blade that came with the unit is a DW4763. Excellent. I ordered two more spares for future, but I ordered DW4764s XP4 (supposed to last 4x longer than average blade). Today was my first day using this machine, and I cut over 20 13-inch tiles and it cut straight and fast. Why didn't I buy this years ago????Today, I also made my own bullnose tile from the stock I was working with. I installed a MK-275 6-inch, 3/8-inch diamond radius blade without a problem. Once I got the settings where I wanted, I made 8 pieces of 13" x 3-1/4" and 8 pieces 13" x 3" bullnose in less than 10-minutes. Incredible. I will note with 6" blade, I had to move the tile forward off the pushing guide in order to complete the bullnose cut. Otherwise, the blade would strike the sled near the measuring tape. Notably, the fence/guide on a smooth sled is awesome. What a huge money/time savings in tile and convenience as I needed custom bullnose cuts. The entire saw and stand are heavy, awkward to move altogether as one and it takes up some real estate. Fully-assembled, this unit is big. Portable, yes--but not easily. I break it down into 4 trips (plastic trays, pump and sled, motor unit, and folding table.Conclusively, this is a fantastic tile saw. It performs really well: cuts repeatedly straight and clean. I'd recommend this unit to serious DIYers, professionals and contractors. It takes patience and basic mechanical skills to get everything setup, but this time together also helps you to get to know the machine including features, parameters and adjustments. Just make sure you check/confirm table is sliding smoothly (rail system) and blade is 90-degrees to table and parallel with cut channel. Once you get this dialed in, it's a pleasure to keep firing out great cuts with confidence and precision. There's PLENTY of power from this 1.5 hp motor (in fact, you'll need to wear hearing protection). Just be sure to take care not to break any of the plastic components or leave anything behind at a jobsite as moving everything altogether as one really isn't practical or wise. Put it this way, even if you could move it all by yourself, you'd never get it through even a 36" door alone. Anyway, there is potential to lose something if you're not paying attention to details, so be sure to keep track of things during moves. Great saw. I'd buy another if I needed it.Absolutely best portable tile saw ever used. Everything is so convenient and well planned. Saw blade lock for changing blade, portability, 22.5 and 45 mitre lock, large non slip bed, separation of pump, solid construction. And drain plug does not interfere with stand like one review said, need to place tray on right direction. Simply Awesome! This saw works great. Using the blade that came with it I did my fireplace with stacked stone (slate). 5 feet by 8 feet and it had both sides at 45 degree angle as it was a corner fireplace. All the side pieces were cut at 45 degrees so the cuts were up to 2.5 inches deep and it worked great. I was assuming I would have to by a new blade but the included one worked for the whole job.Ultimate wet tile saw. Perfect seamless cuts. Great product!Muy perfectaLove the saw. perfect cuts.Quick shipping too.
