"My sincere hope is that this book is the closest you will ever come to experiencing hell for yourself"--Bill Wiese saw the searing flames of hell, felt total isolation, and experienced the putrid and rotting stench, deafening screams of agony, terrorizing demons, and finally, the strong hand of God lifting him out of the pit--"Tell them I am coming very, very soon!"Wiese’s visit to the devil’s lair lasted just twenty-three minutes, but he returned with vivid details etched in his memory. Since this life-changing ordeal, he has spent the last seven years studying the Scriptures to find answers and has listed more than 150 Bible verses referencing hell.Everyone is curious about the afterlife, and now Wiese shares his insights to commonly asked questions such as: Is hell a literal burning place? Where is hell? Do you have a body in hell? Are there Degrees of punishment in hell? Are there children in hell? Can Demons torment people in hell? Can "good" people go to hell? "Even if you don’t believe my story, I hope you will believe the Scriptures and avoid hell just the same."
Wow! I am stunned by this book. I think it's easier to write a review on this subject than to talk about it in conversation with so many people. It's one of those conversations similar to, "so who's 'your candidate' for president" that is too hard to converse about with the average person. Immediately opinions are made and a conversation is heated (pardon the pun) and the sound barrier breaks! Why though? Or, it's a subject that people just don't want to talk about. Ignore it. (Where I live, anyway)In the case of Hell, is it because some people might be too skeptical? Or maybe too afraid to bring this subject to light...in order to abandon the idea that it exists? I just don't know what makes people so jumpy. Do most people know in all actuality what Mr. Wiese was exposed to without his going there in this day and age? You literally have to be schooled and interested in other people's points of view, before you can broach the subject to a handful (or less) ofpeople. i.e. friends, family, classroom with open and closed minded people according to the way (possibly) their parent's religious beliefs or judgments effected them?I believe in Bill Wiese's experience without a doubt. But discussing the subject of whether or not a person in our lifetime actually did go there and come back for a reason is untouchable to many. I understand. We were not all brought up in the same religion or with the samethe subject and whether or not a person in our lifetime actually did experience what he did. So many books have been written by those losing life and experiencing Heaven and that topic is also hard enough to explore with others. But this did happen to Bill Wiese and I do believe him.I am a Catholic woman. If you believe in Heaven you must in Hell. And the Biblical stories indicate that Hell exists. Jesus descended there after he expired on the cross. God created this place as He did all other. Though we know of it's existence, it's not a place where theaverage conversation explores more of. What I mean is that the information which Mr. Wiese told us about is not known of, unless studied.I must admit I learned much more than I knew before reading his book. I like reading about the paranormal and I suppose this is part of that genre. But, Hell scares me, as it did in this book. Mr. Wise is so fortunate that he was one of the few who came back, and studied this by the side of Jesus Christ. And I am especially glad that he was given the chance to come back and open up a dialogue about this subject that is normally shoved under the table where I live, either because we are too scared to face talking about it, or just don't believe in it.This book was good for me to have read. I think 'daily' of being a better person because of Mr. Wiese's experience, so it definitely touched my life. I can only hope that I am succeeding with staying off that particular path because I can't imagine living there from what I have learned. I am sure I will re-read this book once again, not that I need to feel more grounded, but for the dialogue. I give this book 5 Stars.
