I needed this tool to cut circular holes in aluminum soffit on a porch overhang, in order to insert 3 inch vents. Looking in all the hardware stores locally I could not find this size, or if I did, I had to get other sizes with it, which I didn't need, or it was considerable more expensive than this item. For my one time job of cutting about 24 holes it was perfect, and reasonably priced. For a one time job it should meet your needs, if you plan to use it every day, you might consider one of the more expensive ones, or buy a few of this one. Hope this is helpful.
