Arrived with one missing adjustment screw which was promptly replaced by the manufacturer. This saw replaced an older model after 20 + years of serviceWorks great for what I’m using it for and for the price.I'm a beginner and use it just fine. My husband showed me how to use it and I watched a couple youtube videos on how to adjust some things. I've been using it for 6 months and it's great. Changing out the blades is easy. Haven't found a way to put a spiral blade on it yet, not sure if it's possible. We have it stored in the garage and I can carry it out to the table whenever I want to use it.So far I have not been disappointed by Ryobi equipment. And yes this unit works fine.I got this for mother's day! Super excited to learn how to use it. So far the functionality of it is easy to learn.In my wood working shopI really like this scroll saw. Had a Ryobi about 8 - 10 years ago and I loved it. And I'm so glad to have another one. (I lost my first one ). I do alot of wood crafts and sell them. This Ryobi does everything I need it to.Good for light woodworking. Quality is good. I use it for up to 1/4 inch spruce and other woods. I did use it for some oak and see that that slows it down a bit but it still did the job. Motor speed control is good. I also got it with the foot pedal which lets me have both hands holding the workpiece while stsrting and stopping the saw. Overall very happy.Could not switch to thin or fine blades.
