This is a tile shaper ring saw that allows you to make straight or curved cuts in tile and stone with ease. You can even use it handheld as a jigsaw for intricate cutting. This saw can cut forward or backward... even to the side because there is diamond on all sides of the blade! These specialty 6" blades offer at least the same life as a 7" tile blade at the same price. The difference is that these blades do not have a center, and are driven from the outside, providing several advantages: A) The ability to make DIRECT or CURVED cuts. B) Easily cut a slice off the edge of your material. The blade remains stable and rigid without wandering. C) Diamond coating is all around the blade, making forward, backward and side cutting possible. D) Use the same blade for all materials. There is no need to change blades. This saw runs whisper quiet and since the blade goes through a water bath it doesn't make a mess like traditional tile saws. The saw detaches easily from the pan/base so you can run it handheld, much like a jigsaw. This saw is designed for cutting (such as notches and drains) in tile and stone and will only allow pieces up to 1 1/2" thick to pass under the blade. Maximum straight cut is 5 1/2" from either edge before it hits the rear stand. Freight is based on delivery to a business or industrial address in the continental US.
