If you need a little wiggle room for your usage, this might not be what you're looking for. The unit I have is a little less than 25mm which makes fittings extremely tight. I have two other 25mm bits that do not have this issue (but their plunge depth is not as great since their shanks are much shorter). That being said, this works well, and the fact that the shank's end is triangular means your drill press will grip the bit much more securely compared to the circular bits of other cheaper ones.
